"When there are shadows, there is light.
When there is light, we can see the path.
If we see the path, we are not lost
and if we are not lost, we can find JOY."
We are all walkers of life. Seekers of light, moving through shadows, and drawn toward a destiny that, in the end, unites us. Though we come from different places, carrying our own colors, cultures, and stories, we are bound by the shared rhythm of being human—part of the same wondrous world.
My Walkers embody this journey. They are not individuals but reflections of all of us—travelers searching for beauty, dreamers carrying faith and hope, explorers of freedom and belonging. Through them, I weave together love, passion, kindness, and the vulnerability that makes us whole.
My art is an encounter with both fragility and strength, despair and renewal. It is a reminder that our paths, though uncertain, are never walked alone. With each painting, I invite you to step into the light within yourself—to open your heart, to touch your soul, and to walk forward with the joy that is waiting to be found.

ABOUT THE WALKERS
Leticia Herrera's "Walkers" series is a striking visual narrative that explores the multifaceted journey of humanity through a vibrant and textured tapestry of oil impasto. The series, a collection of paintings featuring diminutive human figures set against vast, often gradient backgrounds, speaks to the profound search for identity, purpose, and connection that defines the human experience.
At first glance, the viewer is drawn into Herrera's world by the simplicity of form and the complexity of context. The figures, referred to as "walkers," are rendered with a palette knife, giving them a sense of three-dimensionality that stands in contrast to the smooth expanses they traverse. These "walkers" are devoid of explicit facial features, yet they exude a palpable sense of individuality and motion. Their anonymity makes them universal, allowing viewers to project their own narratives and emotions onto the figures. The backgrounds of Herrera's paintings are equally as evocative as the figures themselves.
